Meet our Meditation Guide and Wellness Coach
My name is Karen Garton. I’m a meditator, a writer, a truth-teller, a mother, a woman committed to growth, and I’m also a survivor of childhood sexual abuse.
For 36 years, I kept what happened to me a secret. I thought there was no point in speaking, that no good could come from it, and that I was “fine” because I had managed to function. Like many survivors, I carried the belief that silence would protect me and those I loved. But eventually, the weight of unspoken truth became heavier than the fear of being seen.
I discovered that healing is not something that happens to you—it’s something you cultivate for yourself, with care and intention. I learned that peace doesn’t come from punishment or closure through the legal system (though I went through that process too)—it comes from tending to the wounded parts of yourself with love, curiosity, and compassion. Through meditation, writing, energy healing, movement, and reconnecting with my body and emotions. I’ve learned to speak from the scar, not the wound.
I created the Reclaiming ME program because I know what it’s like to carry this kind of past. I know how long it can take to believe that healing is needed and then possible. I know the frustration of feeling disconnected from your body, your voice, your feelings, and your sense of possibility. For decades I wondered “Is this it? Is this as good as it gets?”
My program shares the tools, practices, and perspectives that helped me reclaim the truth of who I am—with the deep desire they will also help you.
This is not a program created by a clinician, but by someone who has walked a path of healing and growth. Everything I share comes from my lived experience—what helped me when I was stuck, what cracked something open when I was numb, and what helped me return to myself after years in survival mode. I believe that your past does not get to define your future. I believe that healing is possible. And I believe that you are worthy of a life that feels rich, free, and fully yours.
You deserve peace, power, and joy.
You are not broken.
You are not alone—and I would be honoured to walk beside you.
With love, Karen x
